to geralt it must have been obvious that there is no cure for something like that, hence killing niellen would atleast assure nobody else dies from his hand. Niellen lived as a werewolf for sometime and he did not even try to kill himself, the reason why he wants to die at that moment with geralt is not because of his condition, it is because he not only killed his wife but its quite possible that he has eaten some parts of her, thats what changed. Only after niellen asked him again does geralt fullfill his wish.īesides, curing niellen, even if possible, would not help him after what he has done. Even when geralt tells niellen that he is going to kill him, afterwards he kinda changes his mind after he finds out that niellen wants to die hence geralt tells him to hang himself if thats his wish, so again giving him a chance to just leave geralt alone.
